The Certification Council of the VQWS e.V. congratulates Mr. Stefan Weiß-Breitenbürger on his successful trainer certification according to VDI/VDE-MT 2637 ff. in the professional competence “Implementation of the basic parameterization / adjustment of the screwdriving tool”. Mr. Weiß-Breitenbürger is the first trainer in the world to be certified for this qualification module (Q35). On behalf of all association members, we wish him all the best and every success for future training measures

The members of the VQWS e.V. congratulate Mr. Frank Götz on his successful recertification according to VDI/VDE-MT 2637 ff. in the technical competence “Calculation of a bolted joint”. This is the second time that Mr. Götz has been able to demonstrate his trainer competence (Q06) to the examination board. We wish him continued success on all future bolting technology training courses.

Development and production of innovative torque measurement technology

SchraubTec was held in Sindelfingen for the third time on 17.04.2024. While the hall was still sufficient for the first trade fair at the Sindelfingen location in 2022, the entire foyer was now filled with 77 exhibitors in addition to the hall.

With over 900 visitors, the event was also one of the best attended in this series of trade fairs. The specialist presentations were very well received and the VQWS information stand was also very busy.

First Chairman Hans-Martin Hanke sums up: “You can clearly see that the introductory phase of VDI/VDE-MT 2637 is over and that the regulations have found their place in the industry and are well established. We can therefore look forward to a steadily growing number of certified trainers in the future.”

At the certification round from March 1 – 2 in Lauchheim, further trainers were certified for new Q modules. This means that more and more VDI/VDE-MT 2637 qualification modules can be made available to meet the rapidly growing demand in the industry. For the first time, the VQWS worked in parallel with two certification teams over the two days.

The next certification round will take place in Dresden in the fall.

The third general meeting of the VQWS took place on leap year day 2024. Almost all members found their way to the beautiful town of Lauchheim, about ten kilometers west of Aalen. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Nordlock Group for their hospitality and great organization.

At the first regular elections since the foundation, the first board member Hans-Martin Hanke, the secretary Richard Gruber, the association spokesman Rainer Janecke and the first cash auditor Andreas Maile were confirmed in office. New members are Marc Beutelspacher as treasurer and Frank Götz as second auditor. The position of press spokesperson was replaced by that of association strategy assessor and filled by Harald Lukosz.

On February 28, 2024, the first SchraubTec took place in the new year and for the first time in Landshut. Vogel Verlag also organized this trade fair with flying colours.
With 73 exhibitors, 10 specialist presentations and almost 900 visitors, this premiere location exceeded all expectations and is already set to be the southernmost venue in the future.

There was plenty of room for extensive networking on the exhibitor evening, between the specialist presentations and, above all, at the exhibitor stands. From the VQWS’s point of view, it is pleasing that the dissemination and acceptance of VDI/VDE 2637 MT sheets 1 and 2 has now been well received by the industry.

Since its foundation, the VQWS has already certified more than ten trainers. At the regional trade fair SchraubTec Ost in Dresden in November 2023, Mr. Rainer Janecke, Mr. Zheda Cao and Mr. Long Cheng were presented with their respective VQWS trainer certificates. The trainer certifications according to VDI/VDE 2637 had taken place in the run-up to the trade fair by the VQWS Certification Council at the Technical University of Dresden. Mr. Cao and Mr. Cheng are the first internationally certified trainers. We would like to congratulate all three gentlemen and wish them every success in the implementation of their respective training courses.
