ASSOCIATION STRUCTURE
VQWS Board of Directors
Members of the executive and extended Board were elected at the founding meeting of the Association VQWS e.V. in December 2021. The initial staffing of this central Association body demonstrates that achieving a sense of balance within the various industrial sectors, company sizes, specialist areas and diverse fields of activity was very important to the founding members. In addition thereto, the mixture of experienced Association specialists ensures professional and efficient work at all times. Mr. Martin Hanke has taken over responsibility as 1st Chairman of the Board for the Association’s first legislative period.
SVQWS Advisory Board
The members of the VQWS Advisory Board are tasked with representing the interests of the different sectors and industries, as well as the various membership types – from individual members to corporate members. The Advisory Board, in turn, elects an official representative and then proposes this representative as “Representative of the Advisory Board” for the extended Board. This explicitly designated Association executive body ensures that a balance is achieved vis-a-vis all pertinent interests across the board and the broad representation of all members in corresponding decision-making bodies. Mr. Marc Wlcek is currently the Representative of the Advisory Board.
VQWS Certification Council
The Certification Council is an interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral and independent working group. This team of certified experts from industry and academia deploys, among other things, reviewers for the evaluation of vocational trainers, and puts the VQWS certification process in practice. Neutrality, confidentiality and unwavering loyalty to each member of the Association are among the key principles of this group of experts. A “Certification Officer” is elected to represent the Certification Council, who, in turn, is a member of the Executive Board. Dr. Volker Johne currently assumes the responsibility as “Certification Officer”.
